Publishing email is not sent

Steps to reproduce

I'm following the documentation and I get no notification after my build has successfully run in Codemagic. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

Expected results

Hello @MoritzMessner your publishing section looks correct, so the notification should have been sent to your email address. Could you please double-check whether it ended up in your spam or junk folder?

@MoritzMessner I’m trying to reproduce your issue. But have you also tried using a different email address? Do the notifications not arrive at any address, or only at the one you are currently using?

@MoritzMessner Ok, one thing i'm noticing now..

Even though the build itself is successful and your workflow does produce the .ipa and .aab binaries, no binary is actually exported under Artifacts on the Codemagic build overview page. The only file available there is a small ZIP that contains build logs (hl_hypnosen_app_9_artifacts.zip[2.95 KB]), but no app binary.

Because of this, Codemagic considers the build as having no artifacts, and therefore there is nothing to attach to notifications or make available for download, so it's just doesn't send the email.

The reason this happens is that later in your Fastlane script you run:

flutter clean

and the Fastlane step clean_build_artifacts

These steps remove the generated binaries from the build machine before Codemagic collects the artifacts. By the time Codemagic looks for artifacts, they have already been deleted.

In short: the app is built and uploaded successfully, but the cleanup steps remove the files too early, so Codemagic has nothing left to export or notify you about.

So if you want to be notified after the build finishes, the artifacts need to be there, on the UI.
So please remove the cleanup steps from your Fastlane script(clean_build_artifacts, and flutter clean) and retry the build.
