📝 Proposal: Ensure CRAB and CKTON Tokens Is Listed on CoinGecko and CoinMarketCap
(Updated July 2025)
🔄 Background
This proposal was originally created on December 9, 2024, to address the lack of public market visibility for CRAB, and CKTON, foundational tokens in the Darwinia/RingDAO ecosystem. The issue had been raised even earlier in community discussions but has yet to be resolved.
To this day:
CRAB and CKTON remains unlisted on CoinGecko and CoinMarketCap
There is no public price feed, no charting, and no searchable token page
CRAB and CKTON are tradable on SnowSwap, but SnowSwap is not integrated with CG or CMC
Meanwhile, far less established microcap tokens are visible on these platforms—because their teams prioritized it.
❗Clarification: This is not a request for centralized exchange listing
Let’s be clear:
This is not a request for listing on Binance, Coinbase, or any CEX
This is solely about visibility through CoinGecko and CoinMarketCap
If SnowSwap isn’t compatible as a data source for price feeds, then the team should:
✅ Establish a CRAB and CKTON trading pair on a DEX that is supported by CG/CMC (such as Uniswap, SushiSwap, or another integrated DEX)
✅ Seed minimal liquidity
✅ Submit the required token data (contract, logo, explorer, website)
This is basic market infrastructure, not a major technical challenge or financial cost.
📌 Requested Actions
Deploy CRAB and CKTON on a DEX integrated with CoinGecko/CMC
Submit token metadata (contract address, logo, website, explorer, liquidity source)
Publish a public update confirming submission and estimated timeline
💬 Community Support
This issue has received consistent support from CRAB and CKTON holders, who have expressed clear frustration that these assets are still effectively invisible to the broader crypto market.
The impact is real:
It undermines trust in the ecosystem
It discourages participation
It reduces any potential for external discovery or growth
Visibility is the minimum standard for any live token.
If CRAB and CKTON are meant to have a future, then RingDAO must follow through on supporting the tokens it created. Rebranding and pivots don’t erase responsibility—they highlight the need to finish what was started.
It’s long past time to get this done.
