Eclipse IDE ACP and MCP Integration

There are some prototypes for adding Model Client Protocol and Agent Client Protocol support for Coding Agent CLIs, bringing in an MCP-enabled chat experience supporitng multiple coding agent CLIs into the Eclipse IDE. We'd be interest in any feedback/discussion you have based on your AI integration efforts. We have some initial demos using basic SQL execution and catalog exploration MCP functions as well:

This is a really exciting direction! 🎉 MCP (Model Client Protocol) integration for SQL execution and catalog exploration has huge potential for developer productivity.

Some thoughts:

• SQL generation via AI agents could dramatically speed up query writing for complex joins and aggregations
• • Catalog exploration through natural language is a great UX improvement
• • Integration with multiple coding agent CLIs provides flexibility
