Hi,
we are using the Live Audio STT of Deepgram for transcribing the user's input.
As we need to do per-user metering of usage we aggregate the data received through the Metadata event via the websocket connection which includes the attribute
duration.See https://developers.deepgram.com/reference/speech-to-text/listen-streaming#receive.ListenV1Metadata.duration
We discovered now that our aggregated usage is off by >10% compared to usage export from Deepgram so we started investigating where this originates from.
One thing we are trying to clarify now is what exactly is
duration? The aforementioned docs just state "The duration". The duration of what exactly? And how does it relate to the exported report's numbers in
hoursandtotal_hours?Thanks in advance!
