Model Registry Picking Decision

I saw in the roadmap that deployKF planned to integrate MLFlow Model Registry, but as far as I know that Kubeflow also has it own model registry. So why deploykf chose MLFlow Model Registry instead of Kubeflow's one? And can I ask when is the model registry is expected to be integrated ?
