Isn't it possible anymore to change the school year (eg. 2024-2025 to 2025-2026)? #125

Because of the upcoming changes to paid licenses per academic year, we're being a little stricter in how we handle the academic years of courses. To count how many licenses a school uses, we will count the number of unique students registered to courses associated with that school in the current academic year. In addition, we will auto-archive all courses from previous academic years: everyone will still be able to access their old submissions, but will not be able to make new submissions in those courses. Making changes to those older courses will also be disabled. The reason why we made the academic year of a course read-only is to prevent a teacher from accidentally changing an older course to the current academic year, as that would mean all previously registered students would be counted as active users for this academic year. In such cases, making a copy of the old course to use in the current academic year is the recommended course of action. That said, your use case is a little different, and it seems that you actually want to copy over the existing users. If you like, I can make the updates for you if you send us an email at [email protected] with the course IDs you want updated. |

I use my courses over 2 school years and I've changed it in the past after the 1st year but I can't find a way to do it anymore. Has the option been taken away?
