Disabling Auto-Revert

A few years ago I got a solution to my issues with buffers auto-reverting their contents and auto-revert-mode being off: https://old.reddit.com/r/DoomEmacs/comments/ms1vf8/how_to_disable_autoreverting_buffers/

The solution was putting the following lines in my config:

(remove-hook 'focus-in-hook #'doom-auto-revert-buffers-h)
(remove-hook 'after-save-hook #'doom-auto-revert-buffers-h)
(remove-hook 'doom-switch-buffer-hook #'doom-auto-revert-buffer-h)
(remove-hook 'doom-switch-window-hook #'doom-auto-revert-buffer-h)

So this worked for a few years but now I see buffers auto-reverting again. Are the lines above still supposed to work? Perhaps a single setting in init.el is an idea to turn this off forever (since it is very confusing and destructive).

Oh, I see focus-in-hook is obsolete and after-focus-change-function is now the place to be.

I guess that's it?

It's on doom-switch-frame-hook (see here), not focus-in-hook/after-focus-change-function.

In any case, I hear you. I'll encapsulate all this into a doom-auto-revert-mode on a single hook (likely doom-first-file-hook) soon.

This is done as of doomemacs/doomemacs@2df631f. To disable the functionality, you now only need:

(remove-hook 'doom-first-file-hook #'doom-auto-revert-mode)

In the future, I'll move this functionality to a module.
