hi,

in most shops the MDBT42Q is out of stock or even listed as retired.
Is there a new version of a mini breakoutboard ahead?

Which shops list it as retired? I should remove them from the distributor list.

There are no plans to retire that breakout at the moment. The only one I've actually stopped producing is the Espruino WiFi, and that should be replaced with a Bluetooth + WiFi board in early 2022 I hope

on coolcomponents.de its disontinued,
on berrybase its out of stock.
they have a puck.js v2 - is there significant a difference to 2.1?

No... Due to component shortages I had to swap the magnetometer on v2.1, but that is the only change. In terms of functionality they are basically identical.

i think i'll get a puck to test and try to find 1 or 2 bare MDBT42Q modules
if it works like i expect.
