Posted at 2022-09-19 by @thyttan Have you checked this thread out? It sounds similar to @Map 's problem. Posted at 2022-09-19 by heinrich I have read it. I will wait until the clock turns off. I'll let you know if the clock works again after that. Posted at 2022-09-21 by @gfwilliams Hi - sorry to hear that... Do you still have the tape on the rear contacts of the Bangle? If not, please could you check and see if there's a voltage between the leftmost pin and the 3rd from the left? Do you remember anything happening that might have caused this? Hopefully if it was at 40% and you haven't charged it much, the CPU might be locked up and drawing more power so it won't take too long to flatten Posted at 2022-09-21 by heinrich Hello, thank you for the quick responses. The watch was empty overnight. After a short charge, it started as usual. At the moment, everything is running as usual again. Posted at 2022-09-23 by @gfwilliams Great, glad it's going again.
That is interesting... Do you still have the tape on the middle two contacts? Definitely if you force the charge cable on backwards (when usually the magnets would try and push it away) it can cause big problems for the watch, but usually the magnets mean contacts never touch unless the cable is aligned right Posted at 2022-09-23 by heinrich No, I don't have the tape on the middle contacts. I don't think that I pushed the charging cable the wrong way. Posted at 2022-09-26 by @gfwilliams
Ahh, ok - please could you try and add something? Either tape of lacquer: https://www.espruino.com/Bangle.js2#contact-corrosion-skin-irritation It'll stop the other contacts corroding but may also stop this happening in the future |

My bangle js2 worked fine for the last half year. But since today it doesn't react anymore. The display is still on (without the backlight) but the display doesn't refresh anymore.
Pressing the Hardwarebutton doesn't work. Also, long pressing doesn't do anything. I also can't connect via Bluetooth. Is there another way to hard reset the watch or should I just wait until the battery is empty and hope the watch will turn on again while charging? The last battery status was at 40%.
Is there maybe a way to speed up the discharge, so that the bangle turns off?
Greetings Heinrich
