Posted at 2024-11-04 by @gfwilliams Hi! I haven't tried anything, but yes, I believe it's reasonably standard glass without any coating so if you can find any suggestions for removing scratches they might be worth trying. I'd have thought sanding would be a long, painful process to ensure everything gets nice and smooth and clear, but you might be able to find something that actually filled the scratches?. Yes it would be... tried that with 2000 and 3000 grit sandpaper for about 15 minutes and polishing after. Did not accomplish a lot, maybe it took a bit of the harsh edge of the scratches off. Doing that right would probably involve more money in sanding supplies than a screen costs and (a lot) more time to do it than replacing the screen would. Posted at 2024-11-04 by yngv126399 perhaps some of that stuff they use to restore headlights? Posted at 2024-11-10 by @devsnd Car headlights are made of plastic, I would be very surprised if that would work. Maybe a scratch remover for regular analog watches like poly watch would work? |

Hey folks, I seem to have picked up a couple of noticeable scratches on my bangle js 2. I believe the screen is glass, does anybody know if it's the kind you can sand down and if so what would be best for this? It works perfectly but the scratches are annoying. I don't fancy warming the glue up and opening things to replace the screen manually.
Thanks!
