New To BeeAI and have some questions #2

I am building a project that I want to support ACP and BeeAI, was wondering Can BeeAI agents or multi-agents talk to external services? Is this also through ACP or does BeeAI have it's own set of apis for this? Reason being I am working on a protocol adapter between MCP,A2A, and ACP and want to make sure I am building the right things! |

@cybertheory apologies for the delayed response - thank you for raising this discussion! Great to hear you're looking to leverage BeeAI and ACP in your project. BeeAI consists of 3 primary project: BeeAI Framework, BeeAI Platform, and ACP. I speak more about the connection between the 3 projects in a discord post I shared yesterday. BeeAI is built natively on ACP, so ACP is the primary way for BeeAI agents to communicate with external services and other agents. The best way to go about building multi-agent system with agents from any framework is by leveraging the ACP SDK. In the BeeAI Framework, we support native integrations with BeeAI Platform, ACP, A2A, and MCP that may be of interest to you. We also fully support MCP as resources for agents in the framework. We also have a very lightweight MCP-ACP adapter available here: https://github.com/i-am-bee/acp-mcp It's really great to hear you're thinking deeply about this. Curious to learn more what specific gap you're looking to fill with your project that the existing MCP-ACP adapter and BeeAI Framework's built-in integrations might not address or could address differently? Are you thinking of a different approach or additional features? |
