Process of getting my data from iTwin? #125

Yes, if you are referring to the iModel data in an iTwin. Bentley provides an Export API that allows users to export data from an iModel to IFC format. Tutorials are available to guide users through this process step-by-step.
The platform supports exporting and repurposing data as mentioned previously using the Export API. Additionally, the open-source iTwin.js library—available on GitHub—provides core functionality for creating and visualizing digital twins. It can be used independently of Bentley’s hosted services, making it a viable fallback for developers and organizations for using iTwins.
Migration costs will depend on the scope of your implementation and the services used.
Bentley has invested significantly in making the iTwin platform accessible to newcomers:

I’m currently learning more about iTwin and am helping with research regarding it for an upcoming course creation.
I was curious on whether data is exportable and how it can be saved in the case that something ever happened to Bentley, or if the platform happened to close down. Can most of it be salvaged using Bentley’s iTwin.js repository? What is the switch and cost? How user friendly would it be for ‘beginners’ to iTwin and most digital twin concepts?
I tried to search for previous questions that may be similar but wasn’t able to find any. I apologize if I missed it if it has already been answered, but would appreciate to be linked to it if so. Thank you so much in advance!
