please make an Apple TV app

please either take over SwiftFin or make tweaks to the jellyfin iOS/iPadOS app for Apple TV. SwiftFin is seriously broken and dev doesn't seem to have any interest in fixing issues. you can even charge for the app. infuse charges $100 the price of an Apple TV, way too expensive. other Chinese apps charge between $8 and $20 for lifetime, but don't really trust those. Jellyfin is really limited without having a good Apple TV app.

Infuse is way over priced! How about just make jellyfin for Apple TV. AppleTVOS is iOS with slight changes.

The person in charge of swiftfin already stating he is not doing anything even if someone donated. That is why I suggested jellyfin use their code to make an Apple TV version. I am not a programmer, but you know that since you don’t see any projects attached to my account. Seems your comments are just meant to be snarky.

Swiftfin is the "official" as in it's part of the jellyfin organization client. It's actively being worked on, there is a roadmap with progress slowly being made. Compared to a year ago the iOS variant is a whole lot better and pretty usable, the tvOS version is just not ready yet. If you compile it yourself some things work better but it's still not in a good state but there are concreted plans layout on what is needed to be worked on.

There are currently already a few alternatives too as mention before.

• Infuse, not free, direct plays most things and UI is OK (doesn't like it if you do not have backdrops and stuff configured for your media)
• Neptune, test flight if you join there discord, couldn't really get it to work my self.
• Stingray, test flight, very promising but I have a few issues with virtual seasons not having any episodes.
• sashimi, build it yourself, haven't tried
