Cinnaom theming; 'no active theme' is indicated in thumbnail overview

When I change theme(s) in the Cinnamon Desktop, I get an odd overview of many thumbnails; the active theme / iconset / desktop theme is never actived by means of e.g. a neon square around it... It's also really an old fashion cluttered overview .. Can something be done about this too? The 'activated' indication shouls be possible at least, I think...?!

Some themes are not updated for the latest Cinnamon versions; they are obsolete. Others require special installation; information is available on their page, e.g https://cinnamon-spices.linuxmint.com/themes/view/Fluent.

Ok, but then it 'must be' possible to create a 'tick' or something to indicate (indicator) the 'now active theme' or 'icon pack' no?

I completely changed the default layout of the cs_theme module for my personal use.
It’s now a list view, and the active theme always shows up first with a dot to visually indicate which theme is currently active on the desktop.
Much more practical this way...

Nice possibility the 'editing of the .css' files; always problematic when new versions (updates) are rolled out; gone are your changes again! .. That's why I never edit .css files to begin with ....
