Muffin; no blur possible

As I understand; with Muffin it's NOT possible to make (nice) blur theming items; is it possible to add some (standard?) options to make parts of the windowing transparent / darker like in Nemo, programs, etc? Something 'must´ be possible I think, although I have the impression that the Muffin compositor ties down options enormously... Some change / added options in theming would be real nice; for too long nothing 'happens' / 'is added' to the Cinnamn theming I think...
