The command for Cinnamon display settings is Adding a feature to popup the display settings when an external monitor or projector is plugged in would be nice, though. |

In XFCE4 there is an app called xfce4-display-settings that has a switch in it to turn on the popping up of a dialog to configure display settings when an external monitor is plugged in. The settings that dialog allows are for example, to use only the laptop screen, use only the external display, mirror them, extend the screen to the right onto the external display.
See "Configure new displays when connected" section at: https://docs.xfce.org/xfce/xfce4-settings/display for a picture of what the dialog looks like.
A similar dialog pops up in KDE Plasma when an external monitor or projector is plugged in or when the diaplay button on the keyboard is pressed (usually Fn-F8 or Fn-F10 depending on laptop or keyboard). The example below is from Debian 12 KDE:

Could a similar functionality be added to Cinnamon? It will be very useful for laptop users who need to connect to different external displays or projectors in different places. Business or educational users often need such a functionality. Perhaps find some way to integrate the XFCE display settings popup or the KDE Plasma Display Configuration popup into Cinnamon.
Thanks
