I am using Nemo 6.0 on Gnome Arch. I am opening an SMB path via dbus-send, and currently Nemo seems to open as the default file manager.
My problem is that it takes about 5 seconds until the new Nemo window opens. That means that for 5 seconds, I cannot be sure if the dbus-send command was executed or not. It's not because it takes 5 seconds to open Nemo, because if I run Nemo separately, the window opens almost instantly. My guess is when Nemo starts with an SMB path argument, it does not show the window until it has successfully connected to the path, mounted it, and maybe listed the content.
I think it would be better to show an empty Nemo window instantly in this case, and then show some sort of "waiting" message (like a circling circle). That way, I would know that the command was successfully executed and I just have to wait until the directory's content is loaded.
PS: When the dbus command is opened with Nautilus, its empty window appears almost instantly, and the SMB directory gets loaded within one second, so I am not sure why it takes so long with Nemo.
