Steps
Reason
In categories, we have:
"Internet"
"Web"
Problem
If you use another language, then they will overlap the terms, which uses "web" as "internet"
Creating 2 "internet" category
Why is that a problem?
If you use webapp manager, you will face 2 "internet" categories which confuses the user, and will separate the WebApps, in case they create different "internet"
User experience
This happened to me with a clean install of 21.2 PT-BR, setting up for relatives
Was installing day-to-day WebApps such as Instagram, whatsapp... than it hitted me that the apps were in different categories with the same name
Looking at the forums it pointed to removing an folder called "applications-merged" in .config/menus
This solution, which was presented to a MATE desktop, did not worked, not even sure what is suppose to do, because removing the folder, will cause the nearby folder "cinammon-applications-merged" to break
Extra
In the editor menu from step 2, selecting both folders, separately, then selecting edit archive* will show the metadata of the categories
These are the categories which the terms are the same: de, la, pl, pt_BR, sl
Also, there is less translations for web, which can be because they are the same term
What the heck is the wine-wine no symbol category nor description?
It hit me that web, could be because of web-apps, but then why reduct to web
for a beginner at tech and computers, web and internet are equivalent terms, which only makes it worse by similar icons, even though "web" icon is the "WebApp manager"
Solution
*Unsure if the English translation is correct since was it was done mentally
