Pix - scan folders recursively

Hello, newcomer here!

Today I planned to merge two big picture folders to sort out the good and bad, delete duplicates and so on.

I enjoyed, knowing that Mint ships already with a great photo organizer called Pix.
But then I saw Pix is unable to scan directories recursively. C'mon!

There are other (great) software pieces like Digikam / Shotwell, I know. I'm not too lazy to download more software but I prefer to deal with less and not more software.

PIX is very nice, but why is (user configurable) recursive scan not a standard for a photo manager? too demanding for the current built ?

Well, since Pix looks very much like gThumb, I checked the search field of Pix too.

Indeed, the search field includes a recursive scan - checkbox. Not super intuitive but ok :)
