Hello, I would like to make a suggestion for future updates of Linux Mint or upcoming versions.
I would like for
lightdm
to be added to the user space by default without the need to run something like"sudo gpasswd --add lightdm $USER"
so that user wallpapers appear on the lock screen without having to search on some website and run commands of which you are unaware.I know that this involves learning, but I believe that the focus of the Linux Mint project is to be easy and user-friendly for the end user, and this focus is being very well met. However, there are refinements to be made.
I would also like for an option to be offered within the "backgrounds" settings to configure the lock screen wallpaper as well as the desktop background without having to go to "Window and Session Management" and enter the root user password to select a different wallpaper.
My point is that the default settings can be confusing for beginner users.
