Mint's default PDF reader, Xreader is a solid, good looking app - only the ability to export annotation to txt/md feature is very much missing (for people who actually use PDFs to study -and not just look at PDFs for a sec) and a very strange cut on the design of a PDF reader app. Currently I've Ocular and Foliate as alternatives for PDF reading too. Unfortunately, none of them is my favorite. Ocular Foliate Finally, please consider to add the ability to export annotation to txt/md in Xreader! |

PDF is an awesome file format to study.
Luckily, Xreader allows us to add annotations.
Now, what can we do with highlights in Xreader?
Unlucky nothing at all right now, it's "just" coloured text.
In my logic, we don't add highlights to highlight.
Our research is the "input" we seek and the tool for it is to use highlights.
Usually I process highlights, because it makes no sense to read again the same, whole book. You've to understand with your own mind and work with highlights as well.
And therefore an "export annotations" feature would be so helpful - this is then our "output".
I mean, if Xreader knows already what text is highlighted, then exporting should be a piece of cake:
To have highlights in a pdf is great, but that aren't all necessary tools to process information. To export annotations (highlights and notes) is important too (for the reasons explained above). Thanks for your attention.
