I find it bewildering why Mint's core touchpad pane is restricted to touchpads only. I get its primary goal, but a mouse can perform gestures as well. A integration with mices would take advantage of installed, but unused software for those without touchpads or laptops.
I want to use the touchpad/gestures pane but with gestures of my mouse.
Certainly, a mouse works differently than a touchpad but we've more buttons, like: Lmb, Rmb, Mmb.
And the mouse wheel is perfect to zoom in our out.
Additionally, you can hold the Rmb and move your mouse to execute additional gestures, this technique is known as "rocker gesture".
Gestures are nothing new in browsers, we had it already in browsers like Opera, Firefox plugins or Vivaldi, etc.
But why limiting gestures to browsers only? Imo, limitations like that are pointless.
If Mint's touchpad pane is not able to deal with mouse gestures, why not adding a new section/tab under the mouse pane to allow mouse gestures?
