Mint is a derivative specifically for Desktop use, for server I recommend using Debian or Ubuntu LTS (which Mint uses as a base). |

I run a headless Mint box. it has no monitor keyboard or mouse. it sits in my attic. it's a file server. I use mint because I use several mint desktops and it keeps me from having to mentally switch to a different distro. I'd like a way to do a distro release upgrade without having to export an x session over ssh. I.e. I want to just ssh into the box and do a distro upgrade. thanks.
