Most common users don't understand what reboot means. They somewhat know that restart means the computer turns off and turns on. If reboot is an option they ask me where the restart button is. |

There is a common Linux command line tool called reboot, which does as its name suggests.
The Cinnamon GUI has an option to Restart.
After some updates, the Cinnamon GUI Update Manager prompts that a Reboot is required.
No biggie, but can we add some consistency - there's an open bug for this matter too - open since Aug 2022 - see Refs below.
