The version on Fdroid works fine, honestly getting a opensource app from the google play store is a huge mistake in it's self because it is probably a malicious version, or is screwed up somehow. That being said Localsend is easier to use, has a better interface, and also has a version on Fdroid and Linux via Flatpak. Warpinator while it used to work pretty well the last time I used it 9 months ago It had huge ongoing reliability and connectivity problems, combined with the worse interface and other bugs, so maybe the Playstore version is fine by the standards of Warpinator last time I used it. |

@vajdao If I remember correctly the most reliable method to make Warinator work is both devices must be on the same network, the fewer devices on the network the better, both clients need to have the same group code, be started and running within 30 seconds of each other so they hopefully will find each other before they stop scanning, and It seems that the compression option needs to be set to off or on for both devices, ideally it should be set to off which increases network traffic but greatly improves reliability, and make sure you pressed the "apply network changes" button or turn your computers firewall off entirely, and If it can find the other client automatically don't allow either machine to disconnect from the network or it also causes problems. If they don't find each other within the 30-90 second window you can wait a few minutes to see if it starts working, but if I doesn't then you will likely need to restart both of them, and If your router has client isolation enabled good luck. Honestly if Warpinator just had a rescan button it would solve a lot of it's problems. These were the tricks I was forced to use to get the native package of Warpinator working properly (IE connected and actually able to transfer files). |

Currently there is a Warpinator for android, but its unofficial and full of bugs, connection issues and such, it's technically unusable.
It would be good, if you Mint team could port your official Warpinator for smartphones, for better compatibility.
