Wouldn't it be simpler to create a slideshow directory that contained only the files you want as part of the slideshow? |

This is a terrible idea. What If I use my monitor in portrait mode? @cplittlfield has the right idea. The desktop can't always conform to your specific use case. You can however get exactly what you want with a little effort on your own part. |

Please add a setting for the Settings-Background for when the slideshow is enabled, to only show images from the directory that are landscape (Not portrait images). This way portrait images will not be shown and zoomed in or stretched out and instead be ignored.
