thank you for the quick reply. Would still be nice if it would remember. Thank you very much for this great workaround. Screenshot help opens the LM documentation. In the User Guide, I searched for screenshot, but there is no info at all. Again thank you very much. |

You don't actually have to select any option. Just invoke gnome-screenshot with Shift + Print Screen, and you can select the area you want to capture. I believe there is also a shortcut for cases where you want to capture a window. Look in System Settings > Keyboard > Shortcuts to see what shortcuts are already defined. |

It always opens with 'screen' selected, while I always use 'selection'.
Would be nice if Screenshot would remember the last used capture-area and have that button selected the next time it opens.
