Get better Type=Link .desktop launcher support in Cinnamon

In MATE, one can create a Type=Link .desktop launcher with the URL= pointing to a (local) folder. Then afterwards, one can drag and drop files onto such desktop icon and files will get put into the destination. It will be nice if Cinnamon support this feature too.

A link-type .desktop launcher differs from a symbolic link. If one double clicks a link-type .desktop launcher, one gets to the target folder with the real path. If one double clicks a symbolic link, one gets to the symbolic path. A lot of subtle thing such as recent file entries will see files opened from the two of them as different.
