Hey there! We are a small non-profit organisation evaluating various options. According to https://plane.so/pricing, the self-hosted version is restricted. If I'm not mistaken, the licence would allow you to do whatever you want with the software, with the only limitation being that any changes to the software must be made public. |

We are an open-core company. Our core repository (makeplane/plane) is open-sourced under the AGPL-3.0 license and includes a large set of features. Our commercial editions (Pro/Business) are private repositories that are built as forks of the makeplane/plane repo. We’ve written several resources to help users understand the differences. Sharing them again here:
In short, you won’t be able to unlock commercial code on the Community Edition because that code doesn’t exist in the open-source repo. |
