@mokun Code base has been changed to pre-3.10.0 now.
I noticed a weird problem with the help window not initialising correctly. No idea what and tried in on the official 3.9.0 release and it works fine there. So just keep an eye on it.

The UI config has been bugging me.

I have a laptop that I use for running mars-sim. I usually connect it to an external LCD. Thus a sim session will normally have 2 screens.

However, if I have to take this laptop with me to a friend's house, I obviously won't have the 2nd screen when running mars-sim.

This is where the problem is. When loading an old sim or even running a new sim with just the laptop, it will always attempt to load the settings in uiconfig.xml, which indicated that last time the simulation had 2 monitors.

This causes the big problem since I was unable to gain access to the main window in windows OS.

So we'll need to make the UI config class sensitive and be able to check if the 2nd monitor exists in reality when initializing the simulation. If it doesn't, it will tweak the xml setting to suit the reality of the situation.

Can we do that ?

btw, I want to add back some sound tracks.

Better yet, we should let players choose the one they want to download. This way, the zip jar won't grow too much in size.

You should be able to reuse the same logic as the map files. Have a look at the File locator class

I want to get into a 6 month release cycle where we create one every 6 months
So I'm going to set a date on the 3.19 milestone

I have pencilled in a target date of Sept for finishing 3.10. We have some good changes discussed but these are too big for the 3.10 so we should align them with 3.11.

At the minimum, I'd like to have 3.10 is to be able to run the simulation for 200 mission sols without issues. Also wanting to push for having at least 200 settlers and 200 robots on a single settlement.

Ok that sounds a good objective. Let's create a project for that objective and put any Issue we need to fix in there so it gives us a backlog.
I want to complete the transition to the Mission Objectives as it opens up the road to using generic Mission projects

@mokun can you check which 3.10 issues we can close. I want to try and focus on getting 3.10 out there so we can move onto another set of bigger changes

I'd say the bullet issues posted on #1625 are the ones we should consider solving.

I'm currently focusing on getting the robot/building/vehicle well maintained and repaired.

Which one are you still working on ?

Got my eye on #1624. But I think there are too many for 3.10 alone. We are sat on a lot of good changes so I still think we can start to pull it together and complete the large settlement support in 3.11.
