Getting the line number from a traceback

Good day. I saw this post back on the old forum:

I did not see an answer there but found this:

(Presumably most know about this already?) but since I did not see it here I figured I'd share it :

In short:

import io
import sys

def get_tb_text(e):
    buf = io.StringIO()
    sys.print_exception(e, buf)
    #Remove the word Traceback/etc
    return buf.getvalue()[34:]

works out well. It really helped my project to write errors to the ili9341 screen.
