lightsleep and GPIO status

I have a battery powered project that requires to keep some outputs on (sensors require warming time) even while the RPI Pico is in lightsleep.
I have a doubt that I haven't solved by reading the documentation: does Pico keep the state of the GPIO outputs even during lightsleep?
or do I have to use a latch, an external register or a similar IC?
According to my (few) tests there is non need for it but I would like to be sure.
