Build script now fails to build mpy-cross

I have a script which used to work. It now fails to populate the mpy-cross directory. What am I missing?

git pull origin master --tags

git submodule update --init
cd mpy-cross
make clean
make -j 8  # Fails here because the directory is empty

I know this isn't very helpful, but It appears to work fine for me. I just copied what you have above there, save for changing the $MPDIR to ~/temp/micropython for me and it seems to work fine.

Strange, but mpy-cross isn't a submodule or anything so I can only think there's existing local changes that need to be reset, eg git reset --hard HEAD

Thank you - that fixed it.
