Today we announced that Microsoft and Anthropic are expanding our partnership. As part of the partnership, Claude Sonnet 4.5, Haiku 4.5, and Opus 4.1 models are now available in public preview in Microsoft Foundry, where Azure customers can build production applications and enterprise agents.

We are unable to to deploy Claude Sonnet 4.5 model to Azure AI Foundry, or any of the Anthropic models.

Multiple attempts result in "AnthropicOrganizationCreationException: Internal Server Error" during the Anthropic organization provisioning step.

Hi @jmnbc , @AnnaGolosova , are you deploying these models as IaC? What tooling are you using (Terraform/Bicep/CLI)?

If you haven't already, please have a look at hashicorp/terraform-provider-azurerm#31140. The AzAPI approach might work for now but it would break in future as more changes are coming to the API. For now, the recommended method to deploy claude models is through UX.

Thanks Anuj, I found that thread a bit later. I made the AzAPI approach work (required some cooldown times and multiple retries). We're deploying this terraform snippet to multiple instances of our app (and some of them are not in our subscriptions), so manual work is completely unsuitable. I will keep my eye on upcoming provider releases.
