Technical Feedback
At the recent Microsoft Ignite 2025 conference Microsoft introduced the new Foundry portal as described below:
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/ai-foundry/what-is-azure-ai-foundry?view=foundry&preserve-view=true
This portal is currently in 'preview' yet all the demos and announcements about Foundry were done in the new portal (from all the videos that I watched).
I'm trying then to understand - if the new portal is in preview but the new AI agents (that can only be seen in the new portal - as opposed to the classic agents) are where most of the new features and developments are going - are we for now supposed to not use any of that in production?
I'm trying to determine exactly what is in 'preview', what's currently GA and so on.
I know the Agent Service capabilities went GA at the Microsoft Build conference in 2025 but is Agent Service, as it exists in the new portal, with the 'new' agents and new capabilities NOT in GA ?!?
Desired Outcome
The desired outcome is to have a more clearly defined plan for those currently building AI solutions with Foundry so we can understand what exactly is in 'preview', what's currently GA and supported for production development and usage.
Are 'new' agents, created in the new Foundry portal, considered to be in preview or are they considered to be GA since they're managed by the Agent Service that went GA in May 2025?
Current Workaround
The workaround right now is to try to read blog posts and forum message to try to get any useful guidance - but it's not clear at all how we're supposed to treat all the new portal features shown at the latest Ignite conference.
