@AFCMS, @herrscher-of-sleeping I am happy to announce that all documentation has been moved to LSP-format and we don't have a single warning in the whole minetest_game! 🎉

But this is far from the end. The API still needs to be thoroughly tested and I would also like to make an API for MineClone.

Good news!

I am still a bit unsure about the way to integrate with popular game/mods. The best way would be to get as many projects as possible to work with these headers and then use a script to export the headers of the game/mod in some repos here to use in other projects.

I also wonder how we will integrate this in the extension too.

I think it would be nice to make the headers for MineTest-SSM, MineTest-Common, MineTest-Game and MineClone (each separately) in addon format so a user can install and activate the desired headers with one click.

But for some reason Addon Manager doesn't work on my machine. Maybe it's not compatible with VSCodium or Linux, idk. The "Open Addon Manager" command is not available to me. It works!

... But now I can't enable any addon 🙈

We could allow that for our headers, but IMO its too limited. Bundling them into an extension make more things possible, like a config file which defines the right environment to use and needed extra headers to do it automatically and for everybody who use the extension. Then you could use this config file to lint your projects with all these headers automatically too. (GreenXenith/luanti-tools#28)

I fully support your idea, but as long as it is not implemented using addons seems to me the easiest solution from the user's point of view.

I also believe that it is up to the user to decide whether to use the extension or not. He should have an alternate way to enable headers.

Keep in mind that LSP is not only used in VSCode.

Yes, using headers should not be limited to VSCode with the extension. What I wanted to say is that for the extension it makes more sense to not make the use of the add-on feature. It can still be helpful is you do not want to use the extension.
