Noticing a big difference in search accuracy using the MCP server (better) vs the Search assistant (worse)

Hi there,

I'm comparing search results on the MCP server (using mcp inspector) vs the Search assistant and I'm getting much worse results on the Search assistant providing the exact same queries.

I assumed both features would be powered by the same underlying search functionality but I don't think that's the case?
Would it be possible to make the MCP server's search logic available through a REST endpoint?
