Using FastMCP and UV, is it possible to pass arguments to the MCP via command line. For example:

uv run mcp dev pr-mcp.py --permitted /User/foo/tmp/

or when installing:

uv run mcp install --with mcp pr-mcp.py --permitted /User/foo/tmp/

These seem be be captured by the mcp command line client, and not passed to the code.

No, unfortunately not. The JavaScript FastMCP library allows you to pass arguments, so I basically just switched over to using that for creating MCPs.
