After reading many articles in the MCP community, I still have a question: Will the application layer become simpler after setting up services using MCP? Because the application can use tools and thought processes (MCP prompts) hosted on MCP, it seems the application only needs to handle 1) interaction with users; 2) the application still needs to have LLM thinking ability to choose MCP prompts based on user input to decide how to think or use MCP tools to perform certain actions.

I understand that the biggest cost for developers using MCP is how to integrate the application with the MCP client, right?
