Hey everyone! I was configuring my MCP servers to have Brave API functionality, and I noticed that this was archived. Is it because MCP has a web search function now? I would really love a clarification because it's not clear to me why it would be relevant now. Thank you.

That list of servers was archived merely because all the reference servers are maintained by volunteers in the modelcontextprotocol organization, and we didn't have the bandwidth to do a good job fielding the large number of issues and requests coming into the large number of reference servers.

MCP does not have any sort of "built in web search", so you should still plan to use your favorite search MCP server for that functionality.
