Hello, I was able to resolve my issue. Basically, I missed the instructions. We’ll need to configure Claude for Desktop for whichever MCP servers you want to use. To do this, open your Claude for Desktop App configuration at ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json in a text editor. Make sure to create the file if it doesn’t exist. I did not create the json file initially. I created now and restarted the Claude. Worked! |

Your Question
Hello, I believe I followed the steps to install and configure the MCP Server in my MacOS. I also installed Claude.
https://modelcontextprotocol.io/quickstart/server
In https://modelcontextprotocol.io/quickstart/server#test-with-commands, when I click on the Search and Tools icon in Claude, I don't see Tools listed as the above link indicates. I checked the window.log inside /Users/ACAYCI/Library/Logs/Claude. I could not tell what the issue could be. Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks,
Mustafa
