Request for Feedback: Community Survey on Ecosystem Bottlenecks & Developer Experience

I am currently conducting a research study on the adoption barriers within the Model Context Protocol (MCP) ecosystem. The goal is to identify specific friction points—ranging from configuration complexity to security concerns—that may be preventing widespread adoption.

The Survey I would appreciate input from both active server developers and users who have tried MCP but encountered difficulties.

Goals The data collected will be used to analyze:

• Churn Analysis: Primary reasons why users discontinue MCP usage.

• Usability: Perceived friction in json configuration and tooling.

• Security: User trust levels regarding local file access.
