Music Assistant Docker Install

I have installed MA on a separate server. I can access it and configure it directly via http://ip-address:8095/. I can add local mp3 files. create playlists. Everything works fine. I have added the MA integration into HA. That works. Now I'm not sure how do I access the server from Home Assistant ? When I install the HA app I can't see an of the local files on the server or any of the playlists. Any help would be appreciated.

You don’t say where you expect to see it? You can add an icon to the side bar to access MA. If you are trying to use the HA media browser then you need to select one of the MA players.

Thanks for the replay. I have the MA app installed on Home Assistant, and I was expecting to be able to use the browser in HA to see the mp3's on the MA server. I have just configured some players (via chromecast, and airplay) on the MA server but they do not show up in the HA interface. I'm clearly missing something about how these two systems communicate.

The integration makes that connection. Look at the integration and see what player entities have been created

Thanks I see them. Is it the case that the MA app for HA is not used. You use the MA site (http://ip-address:8095/) for management and visual stuff and the exposed entities in the integration for automation and voice control. Have I got it right ?

There is no “Home Assistant MA app” so I don’t what you are referring to.

I'm talking about Settings/Apps/Install App Then select Music Assistant. You can install it and add it to the sidebar. I'm assuming that this is what to use if you want a Home assistant solution only. It all runs on the HA server.

You can either install the MA server as an app (previously known as an addon) OR as a standalone docker container. For HA users we recommend using the app (addon)

OK so it's one or the other. I'm trying to offload processing from the HA server so I'm using docker with HA integration. I think we're on the same page now. Thank you so much for your help.
