I would like to know this as well. I've been running OrbStack for a few days and just today it triggered the macOS dialog to ask for permissions to discover local devices on my network. I denied the request, but why is it even asking for this? |

It's used to forward connections from containers to local devices, and due to macOS limitations, can also be triggered randomly as a side effect of ICMP traffic. |
