Spoiler warning about the puzzles

So I'm almost positive I finished the mod without doing the spacecraft puzzle. The wire was red and I don't think I've ever done the puzzle properly, which, if i'm not mistaken, is supposed to be done by leaving the ship on Ashen Twin, TP to our planet and take the blackhole to the "hub" and see that now there are ships on all planets and the wire is green. (I did it after finishing to read the text). But long story short, I finished the mode by duplicating my self (which, I assume, is the way to have people on all planets), and creating the big black zone by launching a probe in dark bramble. So the mode might givre credit to the SPACECRAFT lock even if it's not done ?

I used the grav-cannon on ember twin to recall the shuttle from the interloper because I figured 'it's not counting that as a planet' and then fired it when the ash twin was overhead. Early loop, the sand column does try to grab it a bit, but it seemed to work fine and I get to keep my ship xP

I did the same thing as vernskey but after a while the Nomai shuttle doesn't register being on Ash Twin anymore, the wire becomes red again but I still got the ending.

Absolutely fantastic, I was decided to try modding my game and didn't expect much. Picked this up as the first one and it's truly amazing.

The way glitches and unused mechanics from the base game were incorporated was absolutely inspired. The writing was so on point that when I first discovered the tree on Ember Twin I legitimately thought I had missed something from base game. I can't say enough good things!

Do you have any errors in your logs on the mod manager? Also, what platform did you purchase the game on (Steam, Epic, or Microsoft store), do you have the DLC installed, and are you on the latest version of Outer Wilds? Trying to narrow down what causes this since nobody else can reproduce it.

Great mod I had a lot of fun solving the puzzle. The connection to the main story made sense and was well implemented. The puzzles were quite original too and everything felt high quality crafted.

Bug with some mechanics (caution Full solution spoiler)

I had an issue with the temporal clone and I am not sure if it is intended that the temporal clone remains in the ash twin throughout all the runs if it was triggered once.

I am also not sure if the colored lines to the objects should remain throughout runs without visiting the new object first. I.e. I woke up and every Hearthian and spacecraft had already green/purple lines to them at that point in time without having to trigger the Eclipse or re-trigger the button you have to stand on.

Those are minor things, but I expected to have to do the full run (go clone yourself, throw scout into dark bramble, send ship onto ash twin then go south of the sun to trigger everything) in one go.

Those might get tweaked a bit in a future patch but they are currently working as intended.

Carl Sagan once observed that the most depressing thing about a cyclic universe (which ours may or may not be, but the OW universe definitely is) is that all information and memories from the dying universe would be lost forever with the Big Bang of the new one. This DLC clearly offers a comforting resolution to that, at least for the Hatchling in their universe.

If I could change one thing, I found having the chime present after the end-game a bit distracting. After the song has played, jump into the campfire's smoke (new universe), and then everything explodes outwards, I see this glowing green chime zooming into the centre of the screen growing smaller and smaller (because the camera is really just moving backwards)

It disappeared by the time the big bang ended, but it was just distracting.

Maybe could have it disappear upon entering the smoke?

Also, I eventually realised why I couldnt fly straight to the chime station, but that really made me hate autopilot for a while

Glad you enjoyed the mod. You can expect the minor thing with the ending to be fixed in the next patch. As for the other thing, it's a known issue and I've done my best to alleviate it somewhat but there's not much I can do about it.

How are you supposed to find the "Lingering Chime" for the first time? I just found it by randomly navigating space trying to find it.

Details

The clue is in your ship's log after you see the Lingering Chime in the projection pool. The log entry says that the planets appear from that vantage point to be orbiting the sun clockwise. Planets (both in our own Solar System and the OW one) orbit counter-clockwise as seen from the north, so the implication is that you should look for an unidentified object a significant ways "below" (i.e. to the south of) the plane of the solar system.

jjajja, makes sense. In my first try I start follow the Normal probe to find this place but I didn't found it that way. I think it would be interesting add a signal to the Normal and the secondary probe, so if you follow the first probe, you unlock the signal channel of the probes and from this point is easier to find the "Lingering Chime".

What a wonderful mod this was! I loved the puzzles, the new areas, the new writing, all the new lore aditions, the new music, and the additions to the ending! Made it feel like experiencing Outer Wilds for the first time again.

Major props for making use of already existing m&);/{ and {y{}&m{ in the plot and puzzles, as well as the brand new stuff to boot! I also really like what you guys did with the lore of [/}&]|?+&] . Its origin and tragedy feels very in line with Outer Wilds and its tone.

So yeah, in short, the entire team did an amazing job! You guys are fantastic!

First mod I installed in order to get more Outer Wilds Experience, and this ended up scratching that itch so well! This fit so nicely into the main story and the puzzles were well put together. All the additions felt like they belonged and the additional music and graphics were so awesome!

I solved the main puzzle involving meeting the conditions and getting to the ending afterwards, but I dont think i ever actually solved/filled in the rumor mode of the broken geode? That was the only thing I had trouble with figuring out. Did I miss something obvious? I inspected outside the Chime and saw the breakage but that was it.

Truly a wonderful mod. It's story sits very well with the one already in place in the default game, without stepping on it, creates it's own original story line, the enigma are very interesting and thrilling to solve, it feels just like playing regular Outer Wild in they way they are made. The Dev went as far as adding some new music for his mod, that really feels like an Outer Wild music but in it's own theme. Amazing work did here, really any fan craving for more Outer Wild, go play this mod, you will savor every minutes of it.

By the way I wasn't able to find the complete alphabet/dictionary as other players did, I'm missing the letters B D G J K M Q V X Y Z (I completed all ship logs)
Also the copy of yourself in Ash Twin Project remains fixed in there even if the loop restarts, unless you go through the ending of the Eye.
After I disabled all mods he was still there, but this time after a loop reset, I got the "destroyed fabric of spacetime"
Great mod after all, was super confused the first time I reached the Chime but ended up interesting!

Loved every part but the last, the final puzzle was very unintuitive, with not enough clues and some clues antithetical to the outer wilds puzzle design. other than that last bit though, i was hardcore invested for the first two or so hours.

Probably, but it's not designed for it and hasn't been tested. Any custom mechanics the mod adds won't be synced between players. That's probably not a major issue for the way this mod is designed but I can't be sure there won't be other issues. Basically: try it if you want but it might break and it's not the intended experience.

I had an incredible time playing Astral Codec!

My first visit to the Lingering Chime was every bit as tense as my first visit to any of the other planets I've come to know so well. It really felt like finding a new part of the game (or in the case of the hatchling, a new part of their star system) that was always there but I simply had never seen. Beautiful mod. Highest effort in terms of visuals, very well integrated into the base game's lore. It's just a bit hard to understand at first, but it really ends up making sense and adding even more to an already beautiful ending.
