Allow more customization for Customer Portal

Hi,

I'm integrating Polar for a product and it's going great, but there's only 1 thing that makes the UX a bit weird:

• Currently I'm showing usage stats inside the app and I'm not using the Polar feature for that because of certain constraints I have.
• Well, the problem is that I'm also using the Customer Portal feature, and in the customer portal there's this "Usage" tab, which could be confusing for users since it shows no data in there as I'm tracking that within my app by myself.

I would propose to add the ability of disabling that tab when creating a customer portal session from the API, if it's not intended to be used.

Some other possible customizations could be:

• Toggling the ability to Change Subscription from within the portal.
• Toggling the ability to view invoices/orders
• Toggling the ability to cancel from within the portal.

I think Stripe already has a similar feature, "Customer portal configuration features", so I think it could be interesting and very useful to get something similar for Polar as well.

Hi Mihai, we've since added support for this:

We're probably always going to keep:

• invoices, because finding an invoice is one of the top cases why people reach out to support
• change payment method, because you can't do that over API and might cause subscription renewals to fail
• cancellation, since click-to-cancel is legally required in some legislations (e.g. California) so as a MoR we have to ensure this is possible

Maybe on a link generation basis we could support disabling these too, like Stripe, but not with our current organization-wide setting toggle.

Also, it makes sense not supporting disabling invoices, changing payment method and cancellation.

Unfortunately, in the meantime, between this feature request and now, I have unfortunately switched to another product for payments, but I will seriously consider Polar in the future. It seems like the product is more mature now and covers more of these edge cases.
