How can I disable the returnpath-feature and send NDR or Bounces back to original sender?

I don't think this is possible, Postal still wants to know what happened to the email and whether they should not be sent future emails.

You can use routes to send notifications back to the original sender but I can't remember if that supports SMTP or not.

Currently this can not be done which can be a huge headache in some cases.

I made a workaround to this by using a Webhook and a script to receive certain events and process them.
In case of a failed delivery the script creates a plain text + html message that looks like a bounced message and send it via SMTP to the original sender.

This is not an ideal solution, since there could be errors in external processing and requires other software (web server with support for scripting (python, php, etc)) it would be the best if Postal can forward a copy on demand of the original bounced message.
