SPF Record confusion

I setup a new server to send our emails.. on DNS setup it says:

You need to add a TXT record at the apex/root of your domain (@) with the following content. If you already send mail from another service, you may just need to add include:spf.(server-name).(domain.com) to your existing record.

Is there a mechanism in postal to return server's IP address through the spf.(server-name).(domain.com) address?

If yes, I dont see any mention of setting up spf. as a subdomain.

I am confused by this.

PS: I already added a:(server-name).(domain.com) to my SPF record, so I should be ok.

my bad, it was the default value in postal.yml

Postal is a "white label" solution as far as its DNS records go so you have to add some for Postal and then refer to those from the domains you're sending messages from. Could probably be explained a bit more in the docs somewhere.
