Major FLL Changes that will impact use of Pybricks :(

if TLDR;

New robots are kits are coming out this spring and starting next Fall they will have their own qualifers/tournaments until Fall of 2028 (this is called "Futures Edition" The robot game is changing substantially.

"Founders Edition (SPIKE™-based): The FIRST LEGO League program as it exists today, continuing with LEGO Education SPIKE™ technology. The last season for Founders Edition is 2027-2028. "

basically unless A LOT of FLL teams complain to First Inspires and LEGO use of Spike and EV3 robots (and thus Pybricks) ends after the 2027-2028 season (so 2 years left). Major bummer.

Luckily WRO will still allow SPIKE and EV3 robots....I just wish WRO had the national and state level organizational structure that FLL has in the USA.
