Suspending Spike Prime Hub on Shock Absorbers

I was wondering: Would suspending the spike hubs on shock absorbers (like these) bring any benefit by reducing virbartions on the hub? Or to the contrary, would it disturb the drivebase control logic by delaying acceleration values?

Jokes aside, I was just wondering about any potential benefit. One of the kids from the team I am coaching came with the idea.

Here is an article on how to record and plot sensor data. Perhaps it would be cool if your students would compare the two designs.

You could measure acceleration on x, y, and z. Try moving the robot in the same way twice and try to see if you can tell the difference. So if another students can guess this was with or without springs, by looking only at the graph.
